The Maker

Originally from Savannah, GA, mom to four and military wife,

I love being creative. I’m known among family and friends for being knowledgeable and talented because I often indulge in different forms of crafting which I like to call “problem solving”. Be it paper crafting, sewing, quilting, or anything that I can figure out how to do myself. Let’s just say…if I don’t have it already, I likely have all the tools I need to make it. I have my mother to thank for getting me prepared for any crafting journey ahead.

In 2015, while my husband was deployed, I decided to add a new hobby to my life with intentions of developing a business for us to grow together. So I started to make soap for my family, and it became a big hit. After the army moved our family to Kentucky and we settled into our new surroundings, October 2018 I officially opened SwankOnYa.

Since opening, we’ve gone through a lot of changes from logo and label design to product offerings. My background in wholesale specialty gift industry led me to pivot the business to focus on the gift of recognition. I take pride in thoughtfully gifting a complete experience of self-care to our supporters.

The Name

We are often asked about our name. How did you come up with it? What does it mean? It’s simple!

SwankOnYa means to leave a lasting impression. This is what our products do. It leaves a lasting impression on your heart, body, and mind.

The Products

Our handmade products will have your skin clean, feeling nourished, and smelling fantastic. The soaps contain lusciously creamy bubbles and non-irritating oils and butters that sets the foundation for the moisture rich Swank that follows. We use natural ingredients such as Organic Shea Butter, Mango Butter, and Sweet Almond oils just to name a few.
